FINAL- Idea 2

a) Purpose

The purpose of this social media website idea is it will an easy accessed website that will also have a mobile app provided to download. This social media website will help those who suffer with mental health, but will be able to either message or voice call depending on what the user prefers, and can talk to someone who also suffers some sort of mental health similar to the user.
Some people who suffer with mental health sometimes struggle talking about what their going through to family or friends and feel like they can't really talk about what their going through, hence them sometimes feeling alone, this website will be here to aid them of that and they can message those who are going through something similar.

b) Format/Style

The style of this website will have a colour scheme of orange and white and will have black on white type.
The format of this website is it can be accessed either on the internet or on a mobile app on any device. It will also have an online and offline feature so you can use it with or without internet.
As there are two different forms of communications, message and voice call. You can deactivate any of these  forms of communications, for example, voice call, if the user feels uneasy about the voice calling and feels like it invades their privacy they can deactivate it in the settings.
There's public and private posts. The private posts will be like keeping a diary about how you been feeling everyday, there's also a mood metre which you can set on each post indicating how you were feeling that day. The public posts is somethings that you can upload that your friends can see, this can be a video, picture or quote that has inspired you to think positively.
This website will include a format where it will have a switch off mode for messaging at night, but will have a setting where if someone is reaching a low point and needs to talk to someone it will give you a choice of different mental health charities to call.

c) Target User/Membership

The target audience this social media website is aimed at is 16-24 year olds. It is aimed at this age category because, its a common age rate that are known to suffer some sort of mental health. 
This social media website is also for both genders because, its not just women that suffer with mental health, men also suffer it as well, hence making this website beneficial for both genders.

The launch date of my social media website will be the 16th November 2018.

f) Possible Revenue Streams (how it might make money)

The website would make money by being sponsored by different mental health agencies or charities, for example, samaritans. The social media website 'NAME OF WEBSITE HERE' would also make money through pay per click by the mental health organisations as they are advertising their organisation, which 'NAME OF WEBSITE HERE' would make money through.  The pay per click could be a good way or revenue because, each person that clicks on an advert could earn the website money. These per clicks could be 5p or 10p per click  that would add up each month to make the monthly revenue.

g) Budget

Looking at this grid the overall total earnings will be around about £14,000 - £15,000.

h) Consider Legal/Ethical Issues

The legal and ethical issues to do with my website would be sexual behaviour, this social media website is for people to help people who are suffering mental and be able to talk to someone who also suffers the same or had did. It is not a website where people can be manipulated in any sexual behaviour like sexting. As this website doesn't show any of your personal information to other users, it is easy to give away information through messaging.  

i) Privacy/Security Measures

I'm going to have a log in page with username and password. If the person has forgotten their password there will be a personal question that they would of had to fill in it could be 'make of first car' for them to be able to have an email sent to theirs, for them to change it. 
Another privacy/security measures I will have to make are all messages and calls are confidential between the users.

k) Detailed information as to why that target audience will find it useful and easy to navigate around the website.

The target audience will find it really easy to navigate around the website because, it is pretty straight forward, everything is labelled and will be designed similar to other social media sites, for example Instagram and Facebook, the reason I've incorporated aspects of these, like writing posts up on your page to share with friends, is what my target audience is use to using everyday.
This website won't be targeted at those who are elderly this is because, they wouldn't be able to understand and navigate around the website. Other than the layout the colour scheme and size of text wouldn't appeal to them as the colour scheme would be too bold and if they have bad eye site reading the text they would find hard causing them to strain their eyes.
Although any gender aged 16-24 would will understand what the aim of this website is for, how to socialise with other users on there and the general layout.
The main home page will have four main headings that will be clearly labelled, these headings will be, Profile, Feed, Notifications and Settings.
